Using that information, they will cover/mask areas of the part prior to processing in the priming and/or painting operation to ensure only desired areas of the part are painted.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Work from assembly drawings and specifications. - Cleans and prepares surfaces of parts to be painted. - May do additional quality inspection of parts after painting to ensure that parts meet customer specification.  - Will train others in critical masking techniques. Will rework parts as needed prior to shipment.  - Reviews paint setup, engineering drawing and engineering remarks to verify area of part to be masked or prepped. - Cleans and prepares surfaces of parts to be painted - Perform visual inspection and verification of parts for defects prior to masking. - Will do additional quality inspection of parts after painting to ensure that parts meet customer specification.  - Train others in critical masking techniques and verifies that the work is done to customer specification. - Rework parts as needed prior to shipment with a focus goal of zero rework of - Reports all masking problems, inaccuracies in paint setup, damaged parts and inventory issues to Paint Line Lead or Process Engineer. - Keeps work area safe, clean and organized at all times. - Helps handle customer inquiries, schedule changes and expedites. - Demonstrates effective communication with lead and plant leadership. - Attention to detail with a focused goal of zero rework. - Assisting Supervisor / Engineering in developing processes that will improve operations.  - Performs other Paint Line duties as assigned when masking work is slow or not available. - Performs other duties as assigned.   Why Work for MEC? As an employee/owner at MEC, you will be responsible for loading and/or unloading materials from a conveyor or feed mechanism. You will be lifting parts that could weigh up to 50 lbs.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:  - Loads and moves materials to work area. - Package parts with protective material for shipments per setup or Engineering remarks - Applies masking to articles. - Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted. - May operate SST-Ecoat system load control panel. - Racks workpieces on conveyor; and inspects, and transfers finished pieces into or out of department. - May perform inventory transactions. - Cleans work area. - Performs other routine duties. - Perform basic functions on a computer database.   Why Work for MEC?
