Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the daily shipping and receiving of materials and supplies and the organization of the warehouse.
Our growing company is seeking to hire an Assembler. As an employee at MEC, you are responsible by assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM products.
A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:Work from assembly drawings and specifications
- Assembles parts with the aid of verbal instructions, print(s) or sample parts.
- Uses various types of riveting devices, hand tools, air guns and power devices to assemble parts.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Checks parts for quality and accuracy using basic inspection devices such as micrometers, verniers, scales, squares and gages.
- Assembles prototypes with Engineering help.
- Inspects parts for various types of cosmetic specifications.
- Where required, must achieve certification in riveting.
- Must be able to assemble at every station and process on the assembly line.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?
- One-three months of related experience is preferred.
- Must be able to read blueprints, work orders, and follow instructions.

What it takes to be a ROBOTIC BRAKE OPERATOR with MEC:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR 2-3 years brake operator experience
- Ability to do basic math
- Be able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Displays ethical behavior and acts with integrity

- Ability to train, communicate, and work with others.
What will you be doing as a ROBOTIC BRAKE OPERATOR:
- Selects, Positions, and aligns dies in machine ram and bed.
- Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
- Writes part programs and stores in machine.
- Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints.
- Positions work piece manually or with crane.
- Set-up and adjust computer program for robotic brakes
- Converts metric to decimal conversions for set-up and running specifications
- Starts machine to lower ram or depresses pedal to activate ram that bends or cuts metal.
- Verifies dimensions of work piece and make adjustments if necessary.
- Performs visual inspection and verification of parts for defects
- Train others in critical brake operation techniques and verifies that the work is done to customer specification.
- Rework parts as needed prior to shipment with a focus goal of zero rework of
- Reports all brake problems, inaccuracies in brake setup, non-conforming parts and inventory issues to Brake Supervisor.
- Keeps work area safe, clean and organized at all times.
- Helps handle customer inquiries, schedule changes and expedites.
- Demonstrates effective communication with lead and plant leadership.
- Attention to detail with a focused goal of zero rework.
- Assisting Supervisor / Engineering in developing processes that will improve operations.
- Material handles in the area and can provide finished packaging

Our growing company is seeking to hire a 2nd shift Laser Operator at our Wayland Michigan location.
This position has a unique schedule: One week will work 3 days p/week, the next week will work 4 days p/week - that gives you a 3-day weekend every other week. The scheduled hours are 6pm to 6am.
In addition to a great starting pay of at least $21 p/hour, for working 2nd shift you receive an additional $1.50/hour shift premium.

As the HRIS Manager at MEC, you will manage the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). You will partner closely with Human Resources leadership and IT to ensure HR systems are functioning effectively and meeting the organization's needs.
Under general direction, support the design of tools, dies, gauges, fixtures, and equipment. Prepare clear, complete and accurate detail drawings from rough sketches, drawings, notes or electronic files using drafting (CAD) system.
***Opening on 2nd shift, 3pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday***
Under general supervision, operate electric overhead line crane to move product to and from racks and process through anodizing tanks. Check and maintain process tank concentrations for pH., temperature and other parameters to assure quality parts.

Provide support to the Manufacturing group in producing customer defined quality products. Position is actively involved with associates at all levels and requires general supervision. General duties of position include promote quality principles, resolution of quality issues, providing support in metrology, auditing, and data collection.

Under general supervision, able to rack, pack, run CNC’s, manual machines, and robotic cells.
Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Primary responsibility is to weld on the Honda Line.
