We continue to have an aggressive growth plan, operating 20 manufacturing facilities that are strategically located near its customers in five states   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Leads the tactical administration of all benefit programs and policies - Responsible for the research, design, presentation, and selection of a full spectrum of company benefits programs and associated policies including health and welfare benefits, work site benefits, disability programs and flexible spending accounts. - Actively stays abreast of the latest and greatest in benefit initiatives and pursues new and novel approaches to reduce health care spend across all locations. - Evaluates plans to ensure that they are competitive, properly administered, in compliance and meeting the needs of employees. - Recommends and implements short and long-term strategies to ensure that the benefit plans are aligned with the achievement of organizational goals. - Engages with outside broker on a “fee for project” basis as needed and takes the lead on selecting and managing third party vendors, focusing on quality of service and cost effectiveness/ROI. - Owns the data and deeply analyzes our health care spend, looks for trends, cost differences between doctors and facilities. - Engages with our employee shareholders on wellness, preventive care, doctor/facility selection based on outcomes and cost.   What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role? - Deep analytical experience gained at either a health insurance company and/or broker. - BA/BS degree in business management or human resources manager or equivalent. Master’s degree is a plus. - 7-10 years of working experience in designing, administering and managing complex benefits program for a publicly traded company and/or in a manufacturing setting.  At least three years at the managerial level. - CEBs or REBC and/or PHR/SPHR certification preferred - Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to build relationships at all levels within the organization, including MEC’s executive management team. - Excellent project management and interpersonal skills. Our growing company is seeking to hire a Tax Accounting Manager based out of our Mayville, WI location.  As an employee/owner at MEC, you will lead the preparation and review of the company's quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740). You will also lead the preparation and review of the company’s effective tax rate and cash tax forecasts, SEC reporting, compliance with SOX controls, and other tax accounting initiatives.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include: - Lead the preparation and review of the following: - Quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations. - Tax sections of the company’s SEC reporting and footnote disclosures (10-Q and 10-K). - Uncertain tax positions under ASC 740. - Forecasting efforts including effective tax rate and cash taxes. - Support compliance with SOX controls specific to taxes. - Lead and support external audit coordination over the tax provision by partnering with our external tax audit partners in a timely fashion. - Coordinate, lead and support audits conducted by tax regulators. - Interact with finance and treasury on tax accounting matters, as well as outside advisors - Perform research to assist with tax provision and tax accounting initiatives (UNICAP, R&D Credit, WOTC, etc.). - Recognize, anticipate and resolve tax issues; make recommendations - Lead the preparation of sales, use, excise tax and other property tax reports. - Complete federal and state tax returns and other reporting packaging that are required. - Forecast and communicate tax position(s). - Maintain technical expertise over new tax relevant tax pronouncements in various tax areas related to industry specialization with the ability to interpret, apply and provide a recommendation to the senior leadership team. - You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.   Why Work for MEC?   Do you have experience working with Laser cutting machines? Are you mechanically inclined?  You came to the right place if you answered yes. As an employee/owner at MEC, you will be responsible for set-up, adjust and operate multiple CNC, laser systems to produce parts in accordance with instructions.  Set and adjust cutting speeds and optics to ensure proper operation.    A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Reads job order to determine machine programming requirements. - Sets up machine parameters and power settings. - Calls up part number from computer to program machine. - Puts steel into machine to cut part. - Checks to print using various measuring devices to determine accuracy of part. - Perform part verifications. - Performs routine machine maintenance. - Performs simple laser programming. - Troubleshoots problems and adjusts machine as necessary to correct. - Assist Steel Shed Coordinator with unloading & receiving material. - Assist Steel Shed Coordinator with on-line ordering of material. - Instruct laser take off operators. - Assists with scheduling of nests. - Schedules machine maintenance with Maintenance Department. - Additional duties assigned. Our growing company is seeking to hire a Welder (Manual/Robotic) for the dual arm robotic weld machine.  As an employee/owner at MEC, you will be responsible for preparing metal for weld operations per customer specifications, drawings, and instructions from engineering. Primary duty is performing welding operations on various customer products using manual and/or robotic welding equipment.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Using provided setup sheet operators verify correct filler metal is installed, changes filler as needed. - Adjusts weld gas flow per given wps instructions. - Sets up manual weld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions. - Verifies proper tooling is installed in the robot or staged in manual area. - Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, ECT). - Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions. - Welds part per custumer provided prints. - Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts. - May be required to remove material by grinding (metal finishing) using power tools and manually to meet customer specifications. - Performs quality checks per set up sheet. - Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean. - Setup and operate robotic weld cells. - Required to rework parts up to customer specifications. - All other duties assigned     Why Work for MEC? Our growing company is seeking to hire a Metal Finisher at our Mayville WI location. As an employee/owner at MEC, you will Sand, grind metal parts to achieve finish ready for painting, plating and as required by the customer.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Setup the work area for part handling and work positioning for ergonomic access to the part surfaces needed to be sanded and ground on - Handle sheet metal components from the incoming load to the worktable or trunnion or fixture, perform the metal finishing work, check the finish quality of the work, then pack parts to the outgoing load in correct packaging - Setup tables, work supports, curtains as needed - Check part quality by visual and touch inspection of the part to detect defects such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal. - Removes dents, weld welts, and may perform limited tack welding to accommodate finishing of previously welded joints. - Setup and maintain air tools and other tools for the operation. This includes cleaning and oiling tools, appropriate storage. - Perform basic cleaning of the work area every shift. - Read prints, drawings, specifications and utilize sample parts for the operation - Follow instructions given on procedures and receive feedback from process and final inspection on work quality - Use tools such as Dual Action (DA) sander, grinder (4”, 7”, hard and soft backing pads), abrasive cut-off wheel, plasma cutter, wire brush (bench and hand), belt sander to perform sanding, grinding and cutting operations in compliance with drawings (prints) to complete the operation of metal finishing during the manufacture parts.
