Responsible for preparing metal for weld operations per customer specifications, drawings, and instructions from engineering. Primary duty is performing welding operations on various customer products using manual and/or robotic welding equipment.
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm.

Responsibilities may include loading, moving materials, assisting in loading machines, positioning work, setting up jobs, making adjustments or operating machines, final assembly operations plugging, visual inspections. Performs hand operations, such as filing, de-burring, cleaning, disc grinding, palletizing, banding, folding, etc. Uses torque wrench and hand tools as needed.
Our growing company is seeking to hire a Production Operator. As an employee/owner at MEC, you will set-up, adjust and operate several production machine tools where tooling, setup detail and operating procedures are standardized and obvious- or operate and maintain setups on special purpose machines where operations may involve several progressive machining sequences.
A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:
- Selects and aligns dies in press according to specifications.
- Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die.
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
- Regulates air pressure and oil pressure.
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
- Generally close tolerance work where dimensional and finish requirements are not difficult to maintain due to nature of tooling and machine setups.
- Work usually repetitive and subject to process inspection.
- May be required to read part drawings and use adjustable, direct reading and fixed gauges to check work.
- Packages parts in appropriate containers.
- Cleans and lubricates machines.
- Additional duties may be assigned.

- One-three months of related experience is preferred.

The Coordinator works with the Management Team to assure compliance to customer requirements, external standards, and internal specifications.

This level of work requires education and experience with all types of electrical and mechanical service skills. Teaches and/or advises others about how or what to do to make repairs. Work from complicated drawings and specifications. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments for exacting measurements. Apprenticeship, Associate Degree, or equivalent training plus considerable experience is required to perform work. Work from general assignment and proceed with minimum supervision and direction.

Primary responsibility is to TIG weld aluminum or steel round or rectangular tanks and fittings using a robot or manually. This classification requires the welder to be a certified welder.
SUMMARY
Responsible for efficiency improvements in manual/robotic welding, spot-welding, and metal finish through the use of technology and improved methods. This position has the responsibility for compliance with all customer weld specifications and programs. This position is also responsible for teaching, training and continuous improvements in all areas related to welding.
Our growing company is seeking to hire a 2nd Shift Production Lead at our Vanderbilt North location. You will be effectively making plans and implementing work for assigned production department ensuring parts or materials and manpower are available for the department to perform the work. Requires knowledge, skill and ability to perform and fill in for any position in the department and can perform equipment setup.
Inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
