  Our growing company is seeking to hire a Painter (Wet Coat) at our high volume, high quality and fast-moving facility. As an employee/owner at MEC, you will apply powder or liquid paint to products where high grade and decorative finishes are required ensuring required film thickness and cosmetic requirements are met.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Understands gun, pump, and other equipment operations and makes adjustments as trained to produce quality parts economically. - Follows proper paint procedures including distance from gun to part, flow rates, air pressure, and overlap. - May clean and prepare surface of article to be painted. - May apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. - May select and mix coating liquid to produce desired viscosity. - Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. - Troubleshoot equipment. - May rack work pieces on conveyor. - May inspect parts. - May pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose. - Set up paint gun and adjust settings as needed. - May identify proper paint via structure information. - Pull trigger and direct spray onto work surface to apply prime or topcoat. - Load and move material to work area. - Properly use HVLP and Static paint guns. - Identify and troubleshoot paint defects. - Correctly rework parts with paint defects - Maintain a clean and properly functioning gun. - May be responsible for the safe handling, transfer & labeling of Hazardous Waste as detailed in the annual RCRA training class. - May perform additional duties as assigned.   Why Work for MEC?   Our growing company is seeking to hire a Painter (Wet Coat) at our high volume, high quality and fast-moving facility. As an employee/owner at MEC, you will apply powder or liquid paint to products where high grade and decorative finishes are required ensuring required film thickness and cosmetic requirements are met.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Understands gun, pump, and other equipment operations and makes adjustments as trained to produce quality parts economically. - Follows proper paint procedures including distance from gun to part, flow rates, air pressure, and overlap. - May clean and prepare surface of article to be painted. - May apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. - May select and mix coating liquid to produce desired viscosity. - Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. - Troubleshoot equipment. - May rack work pieces on conveyor. - May inspect parts. - May pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose. - Set up paint gun and adjust settings as needed. - May identify proper paint via structure information. - Pull trigger and direct spray onto work surface to apply prime or topcoat. - Load and move material to work area. - Properly use HVLP and Static paint guns. - Identify and troubleshoot paint defects. - Correctly rework parts with paint defects - Maintain a clean and properly functioning gun. - May be responsible for the safe handling, transfer & labeling of Hazardous Waste as detailed in the annual RCRA training class. - May perform additional duties as assigned.   Why Work for MEC? Primary duty is performing welding operations on various customer products using manual and/or robotic welding equipment.   A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:   - Using provided setup sheet operators verify correct filler metal is installed, changes filler as needed. - Adjusts weld gas flow per given wps instructions. - Sets up manual weld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions. - Verifies proper tooling is installed in the robot or staged in manual area. - Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, ECT). - Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions. - Welds part per custumer provided prints. - Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts. - May be required to remove material by grinding (metal finishing) using power tools and manually to meet customer specifications. - Performs quality checks per set up sheet. - Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean. - Setup and operate robotic weld cells. - Required to rework parts up to customer specifications. - All other duties assigned.
