Supports the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, conducting inspections and tests, and maintaining documentation.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for working at Mayville Engineering Co., Inc. (MEC)?
Support production in the following areas: Sales order management, forecast management, and customer interface. This position is located in Byron Ceneter, MI.
Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Primary responsibility is to MIG and TIG weld aluminum or steel round or rectangular tanks and fittings using a robot or manually. This classification requires the welder to be a certified welder.
Operates powered lift truck or hand truck to load or unload materials onto or off of trucks, pallets, skids, lifting device, trays or racks and transports loads to designated area.
$1.50/hr. shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift
($19.89-$22.17)
Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, conducts and coordinates cost analysis engineering projects assigned with the objective of reducing cost of manufacturing without impairment of quality. Coordinates projects with the functions involved to obtain required informational data for analysis and value determinations. Analyzes engineering designs, procurement procedures, methods, time standards, staffing requirements and machine utilization, material routing and handling methods, tool design and application, etc. to seek improvement and effect changes to reduce cost. Evaluates results and prepares reports.
***2nd shift, M-Fri, 3pm - 11pm***
Plans and performs required machine operations to maintain dies, fixtures, gauges, tools, jigs, machines and equipment.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be providing engineering support for assigned operations department(s). You will document and standardize processes to improve throughput and quality. Disposition non-conforming product and take steps to prevent recurrence. Perform timestudies and find cost justifiable ways to eliminate waste in production processes with the overall goal of reducing cost. Participate in and/or lead projects that can include plant layout, ergonomic analysis, capital equipment justification / purchase, and/or safety improvement.
Performs a variety of activities in accordance with definite rules and instructions; Assists in data gathering, filing, copying, or other related clerical duties, including the processing of information through the use of PCs or computer terminals; Performs other duties as required.
