Overview

 

Performs maintenance and repairs for the company’s equipment, machinery, and facility; includes light and heavy equipment work. Follows established procedures and adheres to safety standards.  

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities   

 

  • Performs routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems 
  • Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance according to procedures to ensure minimal downtime of equipment. 
  • Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility, including doors, windows, and flooring. 
  • Installs equipment, components, and systems with and without outside services.  
  • Identifies and reports potential safety hazards. 
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. 
  • Inspects tools, parts, and equipment regularly to ensure good working condition, and requests replacements as needed. 
  • Follows all safety regulations and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

 

Job Skills Requirements   

 

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. 
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. 

 

Educational Requirements   

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.   

 

Experience Requirements   

 

  • Some prior maintenance experience preferred but not required. 

 

Physical & Environmental Requirements   

 

  • Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.   
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).   
  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).   
  • Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).   
  • May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
