This person will continually monitor the welding processes and verify that every machine is functioning properly to produce quality, sound parts and will be required to have an advanced knowledge of welding parameters and principals to make adjustments and changes accordingly. This person will also be able to function as a trainer, when necessary, on any of the areas listed in this job description.

Technical and mechanical person who is capable of troubleshooting robotics, arc welding and maintain equipment within robotics. This person should be able to replace consumables on the robotic welders such as; contact tips, diffusers, liners, drive rolls, wire weld, etc.
Troubleshooting abilities would include robotic and resistance machine problems such as; wire feed problems, arc failures, torch contact, sensor and gas flow problems for all GMAW welding processes.
Troubleshooting abilities would also include problems associated with arc welding, weld problems associated with GMAW and GTAW welding could be; porosity undercut, burn through, melt through, lack of fusion, and short or under sized welds, etc.
This person should be able to make any welding process adjustments as needed. Welding process adjustments could consist of; weld joint/location adjustments, parameter adjustments and weld fixture adjustments for part compliance with customer specifications. Robot programming would be desirable as well.
Required to own their own personal tools to perform any of the functions expected of this position.
Have working knowledge of MRP scheduling or abilities to work with daily production schedules and changeover’s as requested by supervision. Abilities to adapt to constant schedule changes and overtime needs to maintain customer schedules. Ability to take direction and communication from team leader and or supervisor on a daily basis.
