Overview

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.  

Responsibilities

Knowledge of tube bending and welding processes

 

Ability to learn/program/perform Romer Arm Inspections and interpret findings to floor/engineering.

 

Complete layout documentation for PPAP packages.

 

Solid Computer skills including Excel

 

Ability to use digital camera in conjunction with Excel to create visual process/work instructions

 

Ability to multi task and work different shifts to cover absentee and vacations.

 

Understand blue prints and part tolerances/specifications

 

Ability to train associates on work instructions

 

Understand use of gages and gage calibration and maintain gage calibration system.

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.   

 

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Other skills and abilities:

Must be able to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measures, etc; must be able to read blueprints
