The Senior Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive human resources support to the organization including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and assigned human resources projects. Ensures compliance with labor laws, company policies and promotes a positive and inclusive work environment.
1. Serves as the primary resource for managers and employees related to one or more functional areas; develops reports and analyses as required; recommends action within HR and/or to managers and employees; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with goal of future problem prevention.
2. Develops and delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional areas for managers and employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
3. Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develops effective recruitment strategies. Conducts full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers for hourly, salaried exempt and non-exempt positions at designated location(s).
4. Coaches employees and managers in developing goals and objectives and provides coaching on performance management processes and may lead calibrations.
5. Work with managers and the Compensation team to ensure that the business' total compensation is competitive for its employee base. Identify, facilitate, and resolve compensation and benefits issues quickly.
6. Develops, documents and recommends continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs.
7. Supports centralized processes, such as FMLA/LOA and Workers' Compensation, providing feedback when issues arise along with solutions.
8. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
9. Acts as a mentor or resource to other HR Generalists including answering questions, coaching, and guiding day-to-day activities.
10. Leads HR projects of varying size and scope that may span across locations.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
· Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
· Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in HR management.
· Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
· Exhibits sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and information.
· Effective communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees.
· Demonstrated skills in employee relations with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proven ability to work independently and apply fact-based decision making.
· Solid computer skills including enterprise HRIS applications.
Education Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, business, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience Requirements
· Minimum five years of related professional human resources experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
· Previous experience with safety training, incident reporting, and EHS compliance beneficial.
Certifications
· PHR or SPHR certifications preferred.
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 per year.
