Responsibilities

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or standards in order to inspect or test product throughout the manufacturing processes to determine if it is fit for conformance or customer requirements. This can include dimensional, attribute, performance, mechanical or chemical characteristics.
  • Record test data, applying statistical process control procedures where applicable.
  • Document reports to validate or identify details for deviations from existing standards, where and when required.
  • Operates various types of measurement equipment required to valuate product conformance (i.e. various coordinate measuring machines, profilometer, hardness tester, optical comparators, various gages (calipers, michrometer, protractors, etc.)
  • Provide assurance of the quality of the paint application.
  • Verify that all surfaces are suitable conditions for painting.
  • Utilize electronic tools to check paint thickness, color and check and evaluate for corrosion.
  • Report all surface defects on final finish.
  • Check to ensure all final products meet in accordance with company procedure and customer requirement.
  • Approve product for movement to shipping.
  • Part touch up.
  • Inventory (Transactions) Control.
  • Receiving inspection of supplies components

Qualifications

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required; five years experience in manufacturing or engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
