Blaster (Production Operator)

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Blaser (Production Operator) at our Beaver Dam East location. You will be responsible for using high-pressure equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting.   

A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:

• Shovels or pours abrasives such as sand, grit, or shot specified into machine.
• Masks specified areas of object to protect from erosion.
• Loads parts in enclosed rooms, tumbling barrels, or cabinets.
• Starts equipment that directs blast or flow of compressed air over surface of parts.
• Directs nozzle over surface of large parts or inserts arms through glove fitted cabinet openings and manipulates small parts under nozzle for specified intervals.
• Examines finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Responsible for transacting parts on the computer.
• Responsible for applying rust preventative, banding/packing skids, and verifying part count.
• Moving product in/out of work area using forklift.
• Properly prepare abrasive media waste for transport.
• Keep records up to date on daily logs.
• All other duties assigned.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?

• One-three months of related experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints, work orders, and follow instructions.
• Must be willing to get respirator trained.
• Must have some forklift driving experience.
