Overview

Supervises, measures, and assists the inside sales support team including quoting, new part launch (NPI), contract administration, customer scorecard management, price conformance and sales reporting ensuring conformance with internal standards and customer satisfaction. Assists in various sales and marketing clerical activities.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervises a team to ensure adequate coverage in gathering pricing, lead times, and other relevant details needed to prepare timely and accurate quotes. Extracts and loads quotes into customer web portals.  
  2. Measures and reports on the quoting process including on-time quote response and win rates and analyzes data to find areas for improvement.
  3. Facilitates the setup of new customers in coordination with accounting including credit accounts, invoicing directions, and shipping destinations.
  4. Ensures new product launch activities, supports tool orders and invoices, and misc. customer requirements.  
  5. Approves standard quotes that fall within the approval threshold.
  6. Identifies parts associated with end of life. Coordinates disposition of obsolete parts and arranges for the disposal of tools, jigs, fixtures, components, and raw materials.
  7. Resolves escalated customer inquiries and coordinates with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensures prompt resolution of customer issues.
  8. Serves as a backup for Sales Coordinators as needed.
  9. Drives continuous improvement, training, and industry best practices for the department to ensure capacity, responsiveness, and improve processes and tools to complete the job efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills and organization mgmt.
  • Effective coaching and performance management capabilities to maximize team output and optimize results.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and quoting software, and standard office productivity tools.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Navigate Multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

 

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in business, sales, or similar preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Three years of experience in customer service.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment and/or quoting is preferred.
