Overview

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Washer Technician at our Beaver Dam location. You will measure and charge materials in equipment and transfer same in accordance with processing sequences.  Observe instruments and gauges, obtain sample for laboratory tests.  Regulate and adjust control devices (manual, automatic, electronic) to bring about proper chemical reaction.  Maintain process records required.

 

 A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:

 

  • Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, viscometer, chemical balance scales, colorimeter, Ph. meters, Conductivity meters and other equipment.
  • Tests solutions used in processes such as cleaning and pickling for chemical concentration or other characteristics.
  • Tests samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used. Prepares graphs and charts per the ISO - 9001 Standards.
  • Cleans laboratory equipment. Calibrates laboratory instruments.
  • Prepares chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
  • Tests daily the pre-treatment system and adds chemicals or raw materials to process solutions or product batches to correct or establish formulation required to meet specifications, per work instructions.
  • Schedules and plans the preventative program and the dumping schedules.
  • Employee should understand the functions of and maintenance of anodes, ultra-filters, chillers, and rectifiers on the E-coat system.
  • Employee should be able to do E-coat post rinse cleaning and bacteria checks.
  • Employee will be responsible for the safe handling, transfer & labeling of Hazardous Waste as detailed in the annual RCRA training class.
  • Employee should be able to discuss the primary concepts of the E-coat system and its relationship to the paint line.  Trouble shooting system problems and recommending solutions is an expectation of this position.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or six to twelve months related experience and/or training is preferred.
