MEC-Neillsville has a variety of metal fabricating equipment for creating tubes of various shapes and metals. 

The Electro-Mechanical Tech will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment to ensure safety and quality standards are met. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, operating procedures, inspection and maintenance of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations.  
  • Programs, troubleshoots, and maintains PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and other forms of industrial automation. 
  • Provides technical support to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.  
  • Installs wiring circuits, switches, controls, and other electronic devices in accordance with specifications.  
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and makes necessary repairs in a timely fashion to reduce downtime. 
  • Identifies areas where operations can be improved and made more efficient. Carries out solutions to repair or upgrade equipment for improved operations. 
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines. 
  • Performs lock out/tag out procedures, utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adheres to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and guidelines. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Job Skills Requirements 

  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and schematics.  
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical codes, standards, and safety practices.  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to the highest quality workmanship.  
  • Physical stamina to work in various positions for extended periods.  
  • Advance knowledge of pneumatic, wiring, and hydraulic systems. 

 

Experience

Looking for someone with prior electro-mehanical and/or maintenance experience and working for 3-5 years within a manufacturing setting. 

Experience with working with PLCs is a plus
