Overview

Inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities

Knowledge of manufacturing with welding processes.

 

Ability to learn/perform CMM Inspections and the ability to use calipers, tapes, and other measuring devices.

  

Computer skills including Excel.

 

Ability to use digital camera in conjunction with Excel to create visual process/work instructions.

  

Understand blueprints and part tolerances/specifications.

 

Ability to train associates on work instructions.

 

Support the 3rd shift supervisor as needed.

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High diploma/GED minimum requirements quality experience preferred but not necessary.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.   

 

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and geometry and trigonometry preferred not necessary. 

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Other skills and abilities:

Must be able to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measures, etc; preferred blueprint reading with ongoing training.

No certifications needed.
