  • Overview

    Develop, recommend and implement continuous improvement strategies designed to reduce cost, eliminate product / process variability and achieve measurable increases in manufacturing margins, quality, productivity, safety, and related operational/ customer satisfaction performance measures. Reviews and compiles data involving production performance, rework, scrap, KPI metrics and value stream mapping.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience  High school diploma and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding, or ability to learn, Lean Manufacturing concepts. Experience in Six Sigma, or related discipline, highly preferred.

     

     

    Language Skills  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

     

    Mathematical Skills  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

     

    Reasoning Ability  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

     

    Computer Skills  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
