Set-up, adjust and operate Roll Mill, Punch press, and Buffing stations to produce parts in accordance with specifications. Set, align and secure roll mill tooling in addition to Punch tooling. Program all sensoring and tonnage monitors. Convert multi-purpose dies and improvise standard set-ups for special adaptations when required. Work from drawings and templates. Use measuring instruments incidental to operations. Proceed with a minimum of supervision and direction. Work is subject to process and final inspection.
Selects and aligns roll mill tooling and dies in roll mill and press according to specifications.
Adjusts roll mill forming stations and punch tooling.
Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die.
Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
Regulates air pressure and oil pressure.
Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on roll mill.
Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
Packages parts in appropriate containers.
Cleans and lubricates machines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with roll mill set-up and operation, punch press set-up and operation, and secondary operations, and the ability to do fast setups within the department are preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to write routing reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively in English before groups.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand and convert to metric. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to read blueprints. Should be familiar with inspection equipment such as venire and micrometer.
