MEC - North America's premier Employee-owned  Contract Manufacturing, Prototype, Coating, and Tube Bending Services Company is seeking a Senior Account Manager to be part of the Powersports business segment.  This position will work out of our Byron Center, MI "OR" Mayville, WI location.

 

 

The focus of the Senior Account Manager will be to develop long-term relationships with performance structures customers, connect with key stakeholders and act as the liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products to meet customer needs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute the Powersports strategic sales plan within MEC’s core competencies, capacities and resources
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of sales, quality, engineering and production related activities for key performance structure accounts
  • Work with Estimating to coordinate and track quote activity for new business opportunities
  • Operate as the lead commercial point of contact to all assigned customers
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of information to assigned customers and internal stakeholders in accordance with stated needs and objectives
  • Track and communicate clearly on progress of primary monthly / quarterly initiatives
  • Work with Purchasing to negotiate tooling and/or other purchased components when faced with competitive sales opportunities
  • Forecast and report on key account metrics
  • Maintain working knowledge of customer information exchange portals, processes and systems
  • Assist with urgent requests and issue escalations, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some overnight travel required

REQUIRED QUALIFICIATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 7-10 years proven and successful account management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate, present and provide credible and effective influence at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • High energy, goal oriented individual
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products
